Troubleshooting Router on weekends [linksys router] [massachussets]

Q: Over the past three weekends, I had trouble on the Internet. During the week works well. I have two computers, a network with a Linksys router. If I hook the router disconnet and the cable directly to the computer from the internet service works fine, but when I hook back up through the router I can not get online. I have call AT u0026 T Broadband and the first weekend they said there were some interruptions in Massachusetts, so I accepted that. The second week I called and the tech suggested

Q: I know nothing about routers and cable modems, but heres my problem. I want to connect three computers on the Internet, we have ATT broadband. I have a Linksys router, but the instructions that come with it are not very helpful. Ive tried to set things the way the router said, but it will not work. Perhaps some information about basic router setup would help. A website would also be helful .

Q: Okay. I try this Linksys router to my DSL connection and have no luck at all. I can browse my network but no internet. I have only Internet and PC is connected directly to the DSL modem. Ive tried to “PPPoE” with my username and password. Have tried to “automatically obtain the settings.” Can not figure this thing out at all. If the modem is not recongnized by the router. Q: I just built my second computer and I wanted to share my DSL and they are connected, so I can share files and drives, so I picked up a Linksys router. Q: I am wondering how to establish an Internet server that can be seen / reached by Internet users via a Linksys router between the server and the outside world. I understand that the routers IP address is that everything seen by the outside world (Internet) side, so as to reach the server, users of both the routers IP address and the servers IP address? Is there a website that talks about how to do this? Thank you.
