18GB 10k SCSI vs 120GB WD SE . basically what are your experiences with WD? [scsi drive] [maxtor]

Q: Well my dads computer had the unfortunately luck of having me put a 10k 9GB SCSI disk drive is the OS a few years ago, and the slow dog ever since.

I am very interested in having him instead use my 18GB SCSI disk. I will continue with my “storage” drive, a 120GB WD SE as my main and only drive.

I was interested in feedback on how my system would perform with this change.

The SCSI drive is a Maxtor 10,000 rpm Ultra160 10kII drive.

Q: Is external Maxtor 120GB HD in a regular HD? If so I wonder if it would work only an internal one for an xbox like. Anyway, how do I take apart and is it difficult?
