Q: What do you think about Symentec software and Norton Internet Security in particular? Do you think one can go along fine without the network and use Norton Antivirus place? I try to change my mind. I have the trial version installed, but its quite buggy and has annoying pop-up messages (ironically enough). I do not think I need a firewall (which goes with the IS), because I apparently already built into my ADSL modem. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Q: Mine takes 40-45 seconds from when the Windows logo first appears. (First bar) to a fully functional desktop with no HD activity.

I only be counted from that point, because other systems will vary depending on the motherboard.

This is the fastest startup time Ive ever had (95, 98, MI, . XP.)

The only startup programs I have are:

Norton Internet Security 2007
Windows Defender
Logitech Setpoint.

All services enabled.
