Internet freezes when I press the Xbox. Have router and hub [port router] [port hub]

Q: Im basically a modem go to a 1-port router, with a 5-port hub and then two connections. One on the PC and the Xbox. Now, if the computer is on and im using the Internet or wherever and I returned to my xbox, my pc internet connection stops. Pages wont load or anything until I reboot. I was att @ home for the past three months with Linksys 4-port router and everything works fine until yesterday. I can not get any connection via a router to the computer that is connected to it.

I called @ home support and they told me straight away to get my router and connect your PC to the cable modem and it works fine. They told me @ home does not work through the router more than one PC, I have to go to a different IP address for each additional PC to get.

Weird problem with DHCP on a router at home [port router] [weird problem]

Q: Okay, heres the jist of my problem. I have two computers connected to a Linksys router and 4-port Switch, and all was well. I had the DHCP set to give a room my comp ip of 192.168.1.101, and my bedroom to be a 0100. Anyways, the network went into my bedroom comp, so I replaced it with another of exactly the same particular brand and model.

Q: I have an 8-port router, Netopia and I thought it would be a breeze to get working. A breeze like stabbing in the socket and thats it, but there must be something else, like some configuration. There is no green light on the channel 1 or channel 2 when I light the DSL modem to the router. On the modem there is no link light on the router either.
