Q: Ok, I bought a 5400 60 gig WD for storage use. Imagine him as a slave to see the bios at startup and even the device manager sees. Yet, when I open up my computer is not there. Andthere is no drive letter assigned in the Device Manager. My main drive is an IBM 7200 1914 gig.

Q: I just completed my first build and bios does detect 320GB Western Digital SATA hard disk. Ive checked MB connectors (SATA and other cables) and power connector. Im not familiar with the drive in the BIOS setup, with respect to the SATA because this is my first SATA HDD, so it might be something as simple as the configuration or a problem with MB (I do not think so, because everything else works ), or problem with hard disk (although I feel it a bit hot). Q: Hi guys,

Bought WD 1000bb from a recent CompUSA sale . I got frequent crashes so I thought it was the heat (the system that I put it in a Dell-L-series with a sucky ventilation) so today I removed the drive to put a fan.

I plug it back in and see the drive is suddenly not feed up

ive in a few other systems and no joy

is this thing dead? if so, why? I have handled quite well, hell I do this all the stuff is wrong time
