Confused about different drives Western Digital [wd drive] [western digital]

Q: X-bit Labs has just one HDD 500GB Shootout. “In their conclusion, they say: Western Digital: the two discs of this company were the stars of this review (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles / storage/display/seagate-barra-720010.html).

So Im thinking about going with a WD drive instead of the Seagate 7200.10 I had planned for my next build.

The questions:

The enterprise disks (such as RE2 WD5000YS from the test) are fairly similar priced – particularly the lowe

Why windows wont see the new HD? [device manager] [western digital]

Q: Ok, I bought a 5400 60 gig WD for storage use. Imagine him as a slave to see the bios at startup and even the device manager sees. Yet, when I open up my computer is not there. Andthere is no drive letter assigned in the Device Manager. My main drive is an IBM 7200 1914 gig.

Problem when Windows XP tries to install a 200GB hard drive [western digital] [partition]

Q: I tried to run Windows XP (SP1 without intergrted) in a Western Digital 200GB JB, but when the OS asks for the partition to “see” only 130GB. Is there a solution so that Windows XP is the full size of the disk? Thanks!

help identify BIOS SATA HD [power connector] [western digital]

Q: I just completed my first build and bios does detect 320GB Western Digital SATA hard disk. Ive checked MB connectors (SATA and other cables) and power connector. Im not familiar with the drive in the BIOS setup, with respect to the SATA because this is my first SATA HDD, so it might be something as simple as the configuration or a problem with MB (I do not think so, because everything else works ), or problem with hard disk (although I feel it a bit hot). I would add is detecting my IDE CD-RO

Western Digital 1000bb DEAD? [frequent crashes] [western digital]

Q: Hi guys,

Bought WD 1000bb from a recent CompUSA sale . I got frequent crashes so I thought it was the heat (the system that I put it in a Dell-L-series with a sucky ventilation) so today I removed the drive to put a fan.

I plug it back in and see the drive is suddenly not feed up

ive in a few other systems and no joy

is this thing dead? if so, why? I have handled quite well, hell I do this all the stuff is wrong time
