The new Firefox keeps falling . [nothing works] [firefox]
Q: Hey,
So I installed the new Firefox yesterday. Everything worked fine . until today. I tried opening the fire and told me that it had crashed before it was even done loading. Now when I try to start the same thing happens. I tried to restart, remove and reinstall, etc, but nothing works. Anyone have any idea whats going on?
Thanks
Best Answer: if you really want the older version I put a link but,
there are many options research your options read some reviews

Re:Mine crashed with SSL sites…. I'll be keeping with my 20040623-0.9 Aviary build for the time being!
Re:I found that mine keeps crashing the instant that an image is loaded. I unchecked 'load images' in the options and it wouldn't crash, but the instant you check it, the browser bombed. Access violation or something, im at work and don't have the error here. I'm really hoping that this fix works when I get home, I don't know what I would do without my Firefox
Re:All I did was delete the existing Firefox 0.8 directory and moved the new unzipped Firefox 0.9 folder into the directory I always have kept it… having no problems so far, maybe it's just the install package that gives problems as I've never used it (never had to delete the profiles from appdata either).
Only thing I find wrong with this current release is no themes yet, if the person reading this created the pinball theme, get a move on, chop chop ![]()

yes…. when are they gunna have a working upgrade install
Probably with version 1.0. Version 0.9 can already import settings from 0.8.

Re:Same thing happened to my, you have to delete the Mozilla and Pheonix directories in Appdata under your login. I didn't install it right, so that my be why it did it to me.
Re:Something corrupted in your user directory? Try un-installing, then goto C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Mozilla and delete the whole directory. You'll lose your settings and bookmarks, etc. Re-install.
Remember, the program is still beta. 0.9 is a stable release now. I installed it this evening and like it so far…
