Nice touch….. having to download XP upgrades to get USB 2.0…. ?? :( This board just keeps shining.
This isn't a board issue, not by a long shot. Windows will sometimes decide what *it* thinks is the best driver, when it really isn't. Most of the time people don't have to do anything special to get USB 2.0 working because Windows will stick with the "actually" correct driver – sometimes you have to point Windows to a specific driver.

I had a similar problem with a Firewire scanner – Windows kept loading what it thought was the optimal driver, but the scanner wouldn't work then. I had to manually point it to the driver I'd just downloaded, and then all was well.

Regardless, you have to "download XP upgrades to get USB 2.0" on ANY nForce2 board. I know you've had problems with the boards Dolphin, but these comments are getting a tad ridiculous. Witch hunts aren't very productive. I remember you saying something to Insane in one of the other 8RDA threads, along the lines of "Your post is the least helpful of anyone's here". Looks like the shoe's on the other foot, no?

Re:go to - right click on the USB controller which has a ? and then click on update drivers. Insert the Nforce2 Driver CD and it should load fine. Had the same problem and it worked fine after i tried that out.

Re:Try reinstalling the nforce 2.0 drivers. You won't get usb 2.0 support unless you install sp1 then the .
From notes on page with download
* Windows XP users must install Service Pack 1 prior to attempting to install this package. Failure to do so will result in the inability to support USB 2.0 and NVIDIA IDE drivers.

Re:ok update:
i've read around and you have to install SP1 to get USB 2.0 to work in xp…thats how come i couldnt install the drivers that were dl-ed b/c they were already in SP1.

so i reinstalled windows and now my USB ports are working but they still have a question mark in ….i guess i wont let it bother me since the usb's are working fine

Re:So now they're ?'ed in ? If that's the case then maybe Windows Update can figure something out. Interested to hear how this comes out. BTW, thanks guy for the valuable pointer on how to find those for download!
