Weird Celeron system problems, HELP! [ppga celeron] [celeron 1ghz]
Q: I have a S370 mobo eMachines Anaheim-3 of which I use as a server. It was originally a Celeron 1GHz FCPGA. This CPU has been converted by my bro for a Celeron 633, then he gave me this system. I decided to sell the 633 and a Celeron 433 PPGA just to get the system up and going. I have later decided that was too slow and got a Celeron 766, but this is where the problems started. The system will BSOD on startup no matter what with the 766 but the 433 runs fine, and ran the 633 and 1GHz perfect so I know it runs fine FCPGA chips. Any ideas?

Re:it maybe a bad cpu or it runs too hot. make sure that your hsf are big enough for that. it probably is cause you said you have the same hsf from when you had 1ghz celeron.
btw, 1ghz celeron fcpga is 35.90 and 1.1ghz is 48.

Re:no other ideas? I reviewed the bios and there are no settings for multi, FSB or voltage that I can find that are changeable.

The first thing to check is to make sure your HSF is installed properly.
Checked and rechecked the heatsink and even went as far as buying a new one to be certain. System still crashes as XP tries to load. It says shutting down system to save from further damage. If I put the 433 back in, it boots fine. I know this board supports FC-PGA chips as high as 1GHz since that's what it originally had. Maybe this is just a bad CPU?
Re:I think I'm gonna order a better one than the stock intel and see what happens with that.
