What are the PCI cards which allow more IDE channels listed? [pci cards] [hard drives]
Q: It seems like more than 4 units, 3 hard drives and 2 burners, so I sort of card for more IDE channels as possible, right?

Re:The Syba/Koutech et al. have the Silicon Image chipset which allows them to support just about any IDE device ever made plus do RAID 0,1,0+1 and JBOD when/if needed – a very flexible chipset. The Promise/HighPoint can only do one or the other, not both. I usually recommend the Syba from http://www.dealsonic.com. It was less than $25. shipped.

Re:I have the koutech, it seems to work fine for me.
I have 2 IBM deathstars running in RAID 0, and there is a noticeable bump in my video encoding when I use the RAID, instead of the 8mb cache WD I have.
