what is a comfortable mouse? (Preferablly optical) [logitech mouseman wheel] [secondary fire]
Q: I have a Logitech MouseMan Wheel USB . and after playing Diablo2 for the last 3-4 hours my wrist is killing me .
I went to the MouseMan Wheel Optical buying next week, but I think its exactly the same as those Shap, so I do not want that .
What is a comfortable mouse? I prefer optical and has a wheel to have. 2 knobs is fine but . I do not need 8 buttons on my mouse, I use it for the primary and secondary fire. everything else is on the KB.

Re:guy: Intellimouse Optical is the smallest by size I guess.. but by feature MS has the WheelMouse Optical which is identical in size but doesn't have the two side buttons. Also, I may be wrong, but I don't think it has a cool red light underneath
I have the Intellimouse Optical for home (like the extra buttons) and the Logitech wheelmouse optical at work. The wheelmouse is darn comfortable and might even work better than the MS one, but since I use it lefty, Logitech gave me no other option like MS did.
And if your wrist is hurting you now, switch hands or get a thumb trackball. A new mouse won't change it all that much. I switched hands about a year and a half ago and don't regret it.
Optical doesn't work well in games? Yes.. myth. Never been better. Maybe if your acceleration is turned up all the way, speed is all the way down, and you have to pick up the mouse and move it 4 times to do a 360, then yes, optical is not for you. Turn OFF acceleration, move speed to about 3/5 or 3/4 and enjoy.

Re:<< Logitech Mouseman Wheel Optical >>
I agree 100% and I love mine.
Re:The Logitech Mouseman Wheel Optical is very comfortable and looks cool too..
Plus, you'll need a wrist rest as others have suggested…
Re:Microsoft Intellimouse Optical definetely should feel right for you!
Re:Use a wrist pad. Don't rest your wrist on the mouse or the surface you are moving the wrist on.
Re:I'm using the Intellimouse Optical.. it's the Ambidextrous mouse from MS. it's also the smallest optical one they have.
Re:I like the Intellimouse Optical, but I don't know how well it treats your hands after a few hours of gameplay.
Edit: Concerning the surface – I just use smooth white table. No mouspad!
Re:<< The optical mouses don't work well in games, just so you know. >>
This is a common myth. If your optical mouse has trouble when you move it fast, you need to try a different surface.
Re:intellimouse explorer is awesome. Don't know if that other guy is smokin crack but this is a great all round mouse and works awesome in games. Very precise and smooth.
Look at any review and they all love it, most hardcore gamers use this mouse.
I have 6 mice sittin around and this explorer is the first i really like for gamin.
My 2 cents
Once i thought i was wrong !

Re:Intellipoint with intellieye
i think the intellipoint optical/explorer are too big if u have small hands and if you wana move really quick (eg in a game of quake)

Re:Go to a major computer store that has lotsa mice. Try them and see what fits your hand the best and feels the most comfortable to you. What's good for someone else may be downright horrible for yourself.

Re:Go to Comp USA or Staples, or Office Depot and try them out first hand, that doesn't mean you have to buy them there though, since their prices are usually higher.
