:Q FTW!!!
Well…it doesn't support HDR…but yeah, thats also a good alternative! I mean…what the hell am I saying…THAT IS THE SHIZNIT!
HDR is overrated. Trust me
Re:Well I just bought a new 7600GT. What's the difference between the GT and the normal version? On Newegg, it looks like the specs were the same.
Re:Get another $50 and buy this card:

It's an X1800XT badged as an X1800XL. There are a few threads on here the last few days on how to flash it easily. This will destroy the other cards others have mentioned.
Re:wow, thanks! That's exactly what I wanted.

is the x850xt that you linked much better than a 7600gt?
edit: I haven't found benchmarks comparing the two.

Re:the 7600 gt destroys the 6800 gs.U should either get a 7600 gt or an x1800 gto.
the x1800 gto performs better when iq setting like AA & AF are turned up.
And it supports HDR+AA+HQ AF.

Re:if you are looking at used, a 7600gt should be easily in that range used.
i got a used one a month ago for $140 on the fs/ft forum.
they are $150 after rebate at a lot of places.
another good choice is the 6800gs, some people sell those used for $125-130ish now.
Re:It can support HDR, just not the kind found in Oblivion, Far Cry, etc. However, HL2's HDR is supported by that card. I think BFG10K has/had that one, might ask him about it.

Re:geforce 7600 gt,for as low as $160.
Re:Sapphire X1800GTO if you don't mind unlocking & overclocking your GPU is the fastest card available at that price point, the 7600GT if you would prefer not to void your warranty.

Re:Oh yeah! Go 6600GT's successor! And remember this…It has SM 3.0!
Re:A 7600gt is approximately 2+ times faster than a 9800pro. Its a good entry level card for games.
Re:Ok cool. CS:S is running a little choppy right now.
Re:7600GT for the win! If you are alright doing a $20 rebate, then by all means, go for it!
It will own your 9800PRO's ass!
Re:isnt a 7600GT brand new around that price?
it would destroy your 9800PRO
