Q: Those little things lively at the top right corner of IE and Netscape – what are they called? Is there a simple name for them? You know, doing the Ntescape, IE shows the world spinning.

Surely is a simple, one-word term

Re:Ralfhutter -

thanks. I keep getting good things from you. I've benefitted so much from the Drive Image help.

Re:My God. I swear I learn something new and obscure everyday. :) I sit corrected.

Only for Netscape 4.x apparently… and the webring is dead. :(

Re:Actually there is a name for it. It's called a "Throbber". I swear to God I'm not kidding.

Check it out. (http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/6774/throbber.htm)

There's even a Throbbers Webring. (http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~flintc/throb/throbring.html)

Re:so let's give it one – call it a twetchel
