Q: A friend of mine wants to upgrade to IE6, but has a 28.8 and I have DSL. IE6 I wanted to save to a CD and installing on his machine, but Microsoft does not seem to want to let me save the entire system as a file (only install on mine and not the system save) . Anyone got a link where I can get it?

Re:I'm not sure what corky is refering to, but I have a method I've been using ever since MS started doing this. First, go and delete the "windows update" folder on your C: drive. Then, go ahead and do the update to IE6 on your PC. After is all done, go back to the "windows update" folder and zip all the files in there and burn it. There you go, all of IE6 without downloading anything else.

Re:Go to this message posted on Thursday, 20 Sept: IE6 Complete download once and save to cd for re-use

There are links etc. that tell you how. This has been posted many times . . . use your SEARCH function.

The answer is . . . it is right there on the M$ site, but you use CUSTOM INSTALL and wend your way from there to a download.
