Who has time to help me my computer today? [video card] [tech support]

Q: I just got a new stick of ram, and Ive been struggling to get my computer working. I also have problems with my . I have an asus board, technical support and they are not really helping. I have a K8N mobo (K8N just nothing at the end). I have two 512 Corsair Value Select PC3200 sticks of ram. My mobo manual tells me a stick and put in dimm1 dimm3, but when I do, so it does not boot (not in all places). It makes no sound, either from the speaker box. If I try one of the poles dimm1 both work (but obviously not at the same time), so it is not the ram, but the mobo (right?) His. The technician had me pull the plug, remove the battery and the CMOS switch. This does not work. Exactly the same problem. Anyone have any ideas?

update: I tried the ram in any combination

Best Answer: sounds like you accidently clicked something wrong with your mouse options. Check it out
go to:
Start>control panel> mouse> and then check all of your options to make sure nothing is checked that shouldn't be. That would be my first guess. Make sure your click speed isn't turned down way too far.

As long as doing so wont void the warrenty it couldnt hurt. I would just RMA the motherboard though, it seems like it is the culprit.

Re:i'd say something is wrong with dimm slot 3. get it rma'ed, or return to the vendor you bought it from.
