Q: looking to get more RAM and was wondering if I ram PC 133, if it would recognize, or if I just be satisfied with PC100 has the latest BIOS update

thanks

Re:i think on that the clock speed is locked on the chip….i have a P III 800 either way it doesn't really matter too much…the only reason i am asking is someone is going to be giving me a stick of 128 PC133 ram and i have PC100 so thought that if it did work on my board i would for the time being get some more PC 133 but if it doesn't work and stays at PC 100 i won't really care…just have an additional 128 ram

thank again for your replies

Re:follow-up
you can try it at 133, if it doesn't work you can always go back to 100mhz. also, this IS assuming your CPU can OC to 133. most PIII's 700 or less should be alright

Re:guy
can't say first-hand, my geforce 2 works fine but i've heard the radeon is not as forgiving

Re:how much will that affect my video if any…i am running a ATI VIVO Radeon

Re:the memory will run fine at 133mhz, AGP will be out of spec tho(89mhz)

Re:Sure, you can use pc133, it will just run at pc100 until you decide to upgrade
