Q: I ghosted devices from a ton of discs a regular backup, but it has amazed me. I took my daughters and a ATA133 addicted to my card my sys boot to DOS and cloned disc / disc, when I was shutdown done, hooked her drive and proceeded to ones computer to reinstall, but I many drivers are loaded in safe mode, last mup.sys b4 the blue screen with error 0xfc802640, 0xc000000e other drive do nothing? took the disks in my other daughters XP machine to transfer files to check, everything seems wrong? only they are o / s with a 3.5 GB NTFS C: 35gbD: Recovery Console recognizes C: windows u0026 files but not sure what could be wrong? Part magic7 says a bad disc part table but I can access everything through the windows, and disc manager recognizes both partitions? ghost7 corp should never use the disks in Windows on my computer just dos? anyone have any idea how to drive it back to the boot? allthe startup files there. check disc / no nope not ERD or ASR disk should I say, was not sure how to make XP April 1st?
thanks any help greatly appreciated.

So let me get this straight…You took a copy of the Winxp install on YOUR machine and are now trying to use it on your DAUGHTERS completely different machine? If that is the case, WinXP ain't gonna let you do it…To much hardware change for the OS to handle and it is coughing up a furball. If you want to put XP on the other machines, you will have to do fresh installs…

EDIT: now that I am awake and reading better,, OR, is it that you copied one drive from HER machine to another and now BOTH disks are hosed? Do you have the jumper settings correct on both drives? You may have to re-install on at least one of the drives to get it going again..

Re:Ghost works fine with NTFS, but i did forge to ask what version of Ghost you are using.
XP is supported by Ghost Version 7.5 only

Re:fat or NTFS ? i thought ghost had some issues with ntfs, if thats what your using.
good luck

Re:If you're lucky maybe it's just a matter of upkating the changed hard drive's GUID for winXP. To do this boot with DOS floppy and run fdisk /mbr – works only on the C: drive.

Re:Do both systems have the same ATA controller in them ???
