Wireless Ethernet adapters instead of USB? [wireless ethernet adapter] [wireless ethernet adapters]
Q: I know they exist, but I can only find USB, PCI, or CardBus adapters. Does anyone have a wireless ethernet adapter?
Best Answer: You can buy a USB wireless dongle, but if as you say the lights on your network card no longer light up, why not just buy a new network card as it will be much cheaper than a USB dongle. Network cards cost around £15.00 compared to a wireless dongle at around £20.00 – £30.00

Re:Actually bridges are usually used for WAN point to points and have very little to do with gaming. Workgroup bridges, sometimes called Wireless ethernet bridges can be used for many things, gaming consoles with ethernet connectivity just being among them. Jack is right though in that you might do just as well, and it might be a bit cheaper, to buy an AP that will funtion as a workgroup bridge, commonly called client mode in the budget wireless market.

Re:Actually the so called Bridges are Driverless Wireless Client cards (Like the Linksys WET11). They are designed for Game Boxes and are rather limited devices.
If you need some thing more flexible you can get an Access Point that can be configured as a Wireless Client (Like the D-Link 900AP+ for 802.11b or DWL-2100AP for 802.11g).
