Best Answer: I'm installing that first one right now and I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. I already backed everything up just in case. I can't wait to see how this thing looks.
Update: It didn't turn out so great. I think you would find this video useful…

I might try the transformation pack again this weekend. It just seemed to slow my computer down a lot and I deleted it. I also might try some of the other ones. Make sure you set a restore point before you try any of these. BTW, that first sidebar mentioned in the video is very helpful and it looks just like Vista, with more options.
Update 2: I finished! Check out my screenshot. This was created with multiple programs and some things that I made.

Email me and I'll will show you what I did.

Nope, just a way to patch the system file uxtheme.dll so it will accept non-Microsoft certified themes. It didn't work for me, maybe because I'm running XP SP1.
There are two different versions: one for XP, and one for XP SP1. XP SP1 UxTheme patch (http://www.neowin.net/staff/configure/uxtheme_sp1_support.zip)

All you need is a modified uxtheme.dll
Change that, and you can have whatever theme you want, without having to worry about 3rd party programs

I tried the patch from TGTSoft on my WinXP Pro SP1 system, and it said it couldn't patch my uxtheme.dll (I was logged in with Admin privileges, so that's not the problem). In the end, I now just use StyleXP without the 30 day limit because I used a cra… er… you didn't hear that. I paid for it and have the legit version; yes I did. ![]()
