Right now is very limited, only 2 servers but they plan to start offering its more rapid at 8 .

More Realms Available for Transfer – Caydiem on 3/18/05
We have opened transfers for two more realms today. The two new realms are Bleeding Hollow to Crushridge, and Illidan to Stonemaul. That brings the current total characters transfers running to: Arthas to Nathrezim, Warsong to Bonechewer, Bleeding Hollow to Crushridge, and Illidan to Stonemaul.

Character transfers are optional for players with characters on one of the eligible realms listed below. Each realm selected for character transfers will have one designated realm to which characters can move. We will continue to evaluate population levels in the future. If a realm becomes severely over-populated, we will enable character transfers for the players on that realm. Having characters on a couple reasonably high pop servers alliance side (Lightbringer and Stormrage) and on a relatively low pop server horde side (Terenas), and the AH's are VERY different.
Mostly the high pop servers are inflated over the low pop server on most stuff. Swiftthistle barely sells on horde/Terenas but on alliance/Lightbringer a stack of 20 goes for a few GOLD. With prices of light leather and linen pretty high on the alliance high-pop servers, starting a new character is a breeze, as you can have a few gold in the first 10 levels or so, but on the other hand, I've been able to get the occasional low level blue weapon of well under 1 gold on Terenas/horde.
I'm not sure if either is 'better', but they are definitely different.

i would love to transfer my L38 hunter outta this gay deathwing server. Lags like hell and so much downtime.
